Idea
The orchid is abstracted into a few broad petals with a seat at its heart, so the flower reads from a distance and invites people up close.
Concept
An earlier concept board, “Chair of the Magic Capital”, explored further layers of interaction: a heated seat for winter, petals painted with chalkboard paint as a community message board, and lights that change colour when people speak to the chair.
Interaction
People sit in the bloom, climb in, pose and photograph. An object that moves beyond visual appreciation into everyday public experience.
