Idea

A familiar craft object, the umbrella, is enlarged into a canopy that works as shade structure, shelter and landmark.

Space

Canopies of different heights stand in planting beside a path, visible from the street and open on every side.

Interaction

Visitors walk in, sit, rest and gather beneath the ribs, and look up into the structure.
